results
The seedlings all grew well with very few losses.
Many species flowered at the end of the first growing
season. Photographs of the entire plot area were taken with
a digital camera on Aug 11, 1997:
and again on Sept. 16:
These images were edited in Adobe Photoshop to remove background and plant areas were estimated using Sigma Scan software. By the following year the plants had grown together so that their areas could not be estimated:
