Transplant experiment, continued


Ratibida pinnata seedlings at time of transplanting:

  • seedlings were planted according to the plan using a string grid
  • they were watered by hand every two to three days for the first two weeks
  • the area was enclosed by a woven plastic fence for the first month to protect against grazing animals
  • the plots were weeded by hand as necessary
