Worlidge was reported to be a great lover of
gardening and or rural affairs. He wrote Systema
Agriculturae - The Mystery of Husbandry Discovered
(1699). Likewise this book presented useful and well
informed information relative to husbandry. He also
was the author of Vinetum Brittannicum or A
Treatise on Cider (1676), and Systema
Horticulturae or The Art of Gardening
(1677). He urged the extensive culture of grapes.
